Carry bag for Nintendo. Part of pattern.

Carry bag for Nintendo. Part of pattern.

Little Man long time ago ordered bag for his Nintendo, but nothing came into my mind suitable for boys. Yesterdays started playing around with bobbles and clusters trying to figure out how I want it to look and how to incorporate some protection at the same time. This is my “bubble wrap”. 🙂

CO 11 sts
1 row – CH 1, sc 3, sc 9, sc 5in 1th ch, sc 9, sc2 in 11th ch
2 row – ch 3, 2 clusters of 5, ** 1 cluster, 1 dc ** , 3 clusters, 1 dc, 2 clusters, ** 1 cluster, 1 dc ** , 3 clusters
3 row – ch 3, 2 clusters, ** 1 dc,1 cluster ** , 1 dc, 2 clusters, dc1, 2 clusters, ** 1dc, 1 cluster ** , 1 dc, 2 cluster
Repeat rows 2 and 3 six more times.

One side all the time is ** 2 clusters, ch 3, 2 cluster ** , other side ** 2 clusters, dc 1, 2 cluster **

I used rather thin yarn, more like sock yarn. You will need to play around to figure out how many stats to start with – you should start with approx 1 cm shorter chain than a piece you are crocheting for is. You must have uneven number of stats to start with.

This bag was made using 5 ply/sport weight yarn.

Handle is made from – CH 3, DC 4 over 53 rows.

Cluster handle are formed from 38 clusters – CH 4, cluster of 3 in CH1, ** CH 3, cluster of 3 in top of last cluster ** at the end attach to other side of bag, turn and make ** CH 3, joint stitch in top of previous cluster ** all the way back.

Instructions are written showing repeats on each side of bag, sorry, I don’t have time for improvement at the moment – 3 more bags to make… 🙂

You’re a billiant mom – the bobbles are perfect. Lucky little guy has the perfect carrier.
